Bulldogs boys basketball wins league game against Omak

The Cashmere High School boys basketball team opened the second round of Caribou Trail League play on Jan. 4 with a 66-57 win over Omak.

Cashmere struggled to get their offense going in the opening quarter as the Pioneers outscored the Bulldogs, 17-13. They came back in the second quarter after scoring 17 points. With the game tied at 28-28, Mason Landdeck landed a two-pointer to give Cashmere the lead at the first half.

The Bulldogs continued their momentum in the third quarter, outscoring Omak 18-10. Cashmere added 18 more points in the final eight minutes to secure the victory.

Landdeck led the Bulldogs with 20 points while Nate Phillips added 16 and Sam Phillips had 14.

Cashmere, 5-0 CTL and 9-2 overall, continues to sit at the top of the league standings. The Bulldogs begin the first of a five road game series on Jan. 5 when they play Northeast A League’s Medical Lake in a nonleague contest.
