Cross Country's latest races

Posted

On Satuday, September 30 the Cashmere High School Cross Country took to Pasco for their Invitational race and performed very well.
Conditions were good for the race, which is only about two miles away from Sun Willows Gold Course, which is the site of the State Championship cross country race. The younger runners were especially excited to see the state course as we drove by.
The 'Tri-Cities International Course' that we ran on Saturday is a looping 5-kilometer race through rabbit brush and tumbleweeds. It is a surprising hilly course with different types of footing including sand, wood chips and dirt. There is no grass on this course.
• Girls' Results - The girls ran another good race on the difficult course. Sydney Smith was second to a Kennewick girl who beat Sydney by almost one minute at Moses Lake in our first race of the season.
Out of nine teams, Cashmere came in at 4th place in the Varsity 5,000 Meters race with a score of 98.
