Cashmere FFA qualifies 15 students for State in speaking events

So far, Cashmere FFA has qualified 15 different students for state competition in various speaking events. The State Leadership Convention and competitions will be held in Tri-Cities this year, May 10-13. The speaking season started on March 7 with five freshmen grabbing all five berths to Districts in Creed Speaking. Lucy Ray was 1st, Eliana Thomas- 2nd, Gracie Nieman- 3rd, and Alyssa Soria- 4th and Annabelle Flick placing 5th. The District competition was held in Chelan two weeks later. The following students qualified for State competition at Districts.

Public Speaking: Sophie Hill - 1st

Extemporaneous Speaking: Eli Lyons - 1st

Extemporaneous Speaking: Sophie Hill - 3rd

Creed Speaking: Eliana Thomas - 1st

Creed Speaking: Alyssa Soria - 3rd

Novice Parliamentary Procedure - 2nd : Annabelle Flick, Kat Twyman, Aubrey Potter, Lexi Lutton, Amia Mutch and Addy Burger

Novice Parliamentary Procedure - 3rd : Hadley Westlund, Eliana Thomas, Gracie Nieman, Lucy Ray, Faith Smith and Jacob Holladay.

Cashmere's Meats team is on track with a dominating performance in Moses Lake on March 25.  All seven members finished in the top 10 individually. Eli Lyons was 1st, Jair Naranjo-2nd, Alia Kenoyer-4th, Aztlan Oropeza-5th, Kira Potter-7th, Sophie Hill-8th and Donald Flick-10th.
