Kodiaks dominate Cross-Country dual at Enchantment Park

LEAVENWORTH -  The Cashmere Bulldogs' cross-country team made their way to Enchantment Park on Oct. 17 for a dual race against the Cascade Kodiaks. With the regular season coming to a close, both squads were looking to fine-tune their skills in preparation for the District VI/CTL Championship race at Walla Walla Point Park. The day belonged to the Kodiaks as they emerged victorious in both the boys' and girls' duals.

In the boys' race, Cashmere senior Maison Sims took the lead for the Bulldogs, setting a remarkable 5K personal record with a 4th-place finish. Freshman Rylan Reiber also delivered an impressive performance, securing 5th place and setting his own personal record. On the girls' side, sophomore Ella Kenoyer shone, setting a new personal record with a team-high 5th-place finish.

1. Maison Sims (Sr.) - 4th Place, 17:50 PR

2. Rylan Reiber (Fr.) - 5th Place, 18:08 PR

3. Kaden Miller (Sr.) - 7th Place, 18:29

4. Mack Pell (Fr.) - 9th Place, 18:35

5. Owen Graves (Sr.) - 10th Place, 18:46 PR

Cashmere's Top 5 Girls Finishers:

1. Ella Kenoyer (So.) - 5th Place, 22:11 PR

2. Abigail Kim (Fr.) - 9th Place, 24:26 PR

3. Saige O'Keefe (Sr.) - 12th Place, 25:37

4. Vansee Wheeler (Fr.) - 16th Place, 27:46 PR

5. Ellie Weber (So.) - 17th Place, 27:56 PR

The Kodiaks' strong showing in both races sets the stage for an exciting championship race at Walla Walla Point Park. The Cashmere Bulldogs will be looking to rebound and give their best in their pursuit of victory in the upcoming District VI/CTL Championship race.
