Table Talk: 'New Year's resolutions'

Posted
By Karen Hartman

This feature is called Table Talk because many of the responses are gathered across the tables at Cashmere's weekly Community Dinner. A question is asked and the answers are published here.

This week we offered a choice of questions:

"Do you have any New Year's resolutions or intentions you wish to share?"

Or ...

"What would you like to see happen in the coming year?"

Most folks went with the latter question. Here are this week's contributions...

Marvin Radach, "I am just looking forward to continued good health."

Norm Sturm, "I'd love to have The Henry's full of people utilizing this wonderful space."

Tracy Farrar, "My resolution is to generate less paper and paperwork. I'm going to start keeping electronic or digital files. 'See this here piece of paper in my hand that I just found in my pocket?... I HATE it!'"

Jeff Parsons, "To have good enough health to continue to run my 10 sled dogs all winter up at Fish Lake."

Ken Sheldon, "I'm just hoping to make it into the New Year!"

Kelsey Gill, "Since I am pregnant, I want to see a happy, healthy baby in April!"

Caitlin Carson, "I'm hoping to find a good relationship in the New Year."

Mavin Kruiswyk, "I would like to see our president get things pointed in the right direction and that everyone decides he's okay."

Susan Mehhelich, "I just hope the American people will embrace the new president with respect and great hopes for our future."

Bob Vinji, "I am hoping the new year brings a lot more sunshine and a lot less snow!"

Don Yeager, "I'd like to see Gary (Grams) buy me a donut someday."

Gary Grams, "I never make New Year's resolutions and Don is never getting a donut out of me."

Glen Golden, "I'm expecting my first million to arrive within the next two weeks. When it comes, I'll be buying both the coffee and the donuts."

Gina Lippert, visiting from Plain, "I'd like to see Trump have a good year."

Dawn Lippert, "I always have high hopes for everything positive."

Kate Marden, "More smiles and more kindness."

Kobe Boling, "My New Year's resolution would be to stop procrastinating so much."

Andres Martinez, EWU music major, home for the holidays, "I'm hoping to practice more. I'm a percussionist. I graduated from CHS last June."

Duane Wood, "I resolve to win the Lotto this year!"

Rodney Cahoon, "I want to see people prosper and being happy."

Gina Imperato, "I want to see more people adopt homeless dogs."
