Cashmere Royal Court Selected

The Cashmere Float Association Board of Directors is pleased to announce the coronation of the 2022 Cashmere Founders’ Days Royal Court.

Princess Lesly Vejar-Garcia is a senior from Cashmere High School. She has been admitted to Seattle Pacific University where she intends to study nursing.  She is an active volunteer for Confluence Health and the Cashmere Library and is involved in her church as well as many clubs and organizations. She was named a Cashmere High Senior of the week.

Princess Joslyn Lucero is a Cashmere High School senior who is active in sports and co-curricular activities.  She is currently on the Cashmere Track team and also works at Home Depot, in addition to school and her active role with her family. She has been admitted to Spokane Community College.

Queen Lauren Kurt, also a Cashmere High School senior, is involved in Future Business Leaders of America, sports including volleyball and tennis and many community and church activities. Queen Lauren has been admitted to Grand Canyon University where she intends to study education.

The Cashmere Royal Court is a longtime tradition of the Cashmere Founders’ Days celebration which is hosted by the Cashmere Chamber of Commerce.  The Royalty program is pleased to be back in 2022 after the last two years of pandemic related changes.  Due to earlier pandemic restrictions, the traditional pageant and float have been replaced this year with a (blind) essay contest and interviews for the applicants.  Plans are in place for the full return of programs next year.

The Cashmere Royalty program not only benefits the young women of Cashmere High School with college scholarships, public speaking and memorable experiences -- the program also benefits Cashmere businesses and the entire Cashmere community with great exposure and positive publicity.

Cashmere Royal Court will be making appearances at local and state festivals and parades. Be sure to welcome and congratulate Cashmere’s ambassadors at all their appearances.  Thanks to all of our business and individual sponsors who help the program’s continued success.
