CASHMERE – Cashmere High School student Gabby Winchester won the Numerica Performing Arts Center Apple Award for Best Supporting Performer in a Play for her role as Aunt Julia in “Sabrina Fair”.

The Apple Awards recognize outstanding achievements in high school theater in the region.

“I am a very proud director of the cast, crew, and orchestra for both “Sabrina Fair” and “Mamma Mia!”,” CHS drama director Susan Gubsch said.

Cashmere High School’s Drama Department was nominated for awards in every category for their productions “Sabrina Fair” and “Mamma Mia!”.

The awards ceremony ran like a Hollywood awards show. Awards were announced in each category and interspersed among those award presentations were performances from nominees and cast members from each of the high schools.

“It was a wonderful day of collaboration with all the high school drama programs in the region,” she said. “It was a great day of celebrating excellence in high school theater.”
