Chelan County calls for public input on recreation plan update

Posted

WENATCHEE - Chelan County is currently seeking public feedback for the 2024 update of the Recreation Element of the Chelan County Comprehensive Plan, a process conducted every seven years. This update is essential for maintaining eligibility for grant funding, which supports the implementation of priority actions within the plan.

Public input plays a vital role in ensuring the updated Recreation Element reflects community priorities. To gather this feedback, the county has launched a survey and will host two in-person events in February. The survey, available in English and Spanish, requires 5 to 10 minutes to complete and will remain open through Feb. 16. Participants are asked to provide their preferences on recreational improvements and locations.

The in-person events are scheduled for Feb. 7 at Chelan City Hall from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Feb. 8 at the Confluence Technology Center from 5 to 7 p.m. For more information on the update process and to participate in the survey, visit the Chelan County Recreation Planning webpage.
