First annual ArtBOX fundraiser arrives Nov. 29, spotlighting Cashmere creatives

Posted

CASHMERE — A beloved arts tradition in the historic Mission District is returning to Cashmere later this month. ArtBOX: Mission District, a benefit for the NCW Arts Alliance, will take place on National Small Business Saturday, Nov. 29 from 2 to 8 p.m., bringing dozens of local artists and makers together at 207 Mission Ave.

Organizers describe the renewed market as a celebration of the artists “whose hearts and hands thrive here,” with an emphasis on encouraging visitors to engage as true patrons of the arts. The event will feature visual art, handmade crafts, and holiday gift options, along with live demonstrations in commercial silkscreen and pottery wheel work. Purchases and donations support the NCW Arts Alliance and its ongoing role in building a regional creative economy.

ArtBOX has become a community-focused fundraiser built on collaboration, volunteerism, and local pride. This year’s volunteers have spent weeks coordinating logistics, producing artist-at-work content for social media, and preparing to assist with setup and payment processing throughout the event. The NCW Arts Alliance, formed in 2021, continues its goal of strengthening connections between artists and the wider community.

Attendees can meet featured artists including Jeff Justice, Jenn Zerobnick, Kristine Kordell, Amanda Goodmanson, and others. The market will also offer live music and a cash bar with snacks, with proceeds benefiting the NCW Arts Alliance. Organizers note that the venue is accessible by stairs only.
