Gerald Homer Doyle, a longtime Cashmere orchardist, passed away peacefully at Confluence Health Hospital on Saturday, July 13, 2024. Born on November 2, 1937, in Wenatchee, he was raised in Cashmere and graduated from Cashmere High School in 1956. After graduation he farmed with his parents for a few years and then bought his own pear orchard up Mission Creek and made his home there. A lifelong bachelor he enjoyed skiing in his early years and later enjoyed riding his snowmobile. He spent the last three and a half years in Memory Care at Bonaventure in East Wenatchee.
Gerald is preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Dorothy Doyle, and is survived by his sister, Betty Joan Vosburgh of Campbell, CA, nieces and nephew Cheryl Johnson (Pete) of Reno, NV, Jimm Vosburgh (Rhonda) of San Jose, CA and Mary Kayser (Dirk) of Chelan, WA, four great nieces and one great nephew and six great-great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their gratitude for the wonderful care and compassion he received from the staff at Bonaventure and the 5th floor of Confluence Hospital.
