WENATCHEE — A North Central Washington law firm is organizing a community event to support Cashmere native Hailey Van Lith as she competes in the 2024 Olympics.

Gatens Green Weidenbach, PLLC, will host a free watch party for Van Lith as she represents the United States in the Olympic 3x3 women's basketball competition. The event is scheduled for Saturday, August 3, at 10 a.m. at the Liberty Theater in Wenatchee.

Van Lith, a Cashmere High School graduate, has an impressive record in both 3x3 and traditional basketball. She owns five USA Basketball gold medals in 3x3 and 5-on-5, including gold at the 2023 FIBA 3x3 Women's World Cup. Van Lith has also competed at FIBA 3x3 Women's Series stops in Montreal and Quebec and won the 3x3 U23 Nations League Americas conference last year.

The watch party will be held at the Liberty Theater, located at 1 S. Mission St., Wenatchee. Doors will open at 9:45 a.m., with refreshments available for purchase. The event has a capacity of 120 seats, which will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Gatens Green Weidenbach, the host of the event, specializes in land use, real estate, and business practices. The firm also represents Sun Basin Theaters, the owner of the Liberty Theater, as well as the Van Lith family.

The event offers an opportunity for the local community to come together and support Van Lith as she competes on the global stage, showcasing the pride of North Central Washington in the Olympic arena.
