WENATCHEE — NCW Tech Alliance, in collaboration with the NCW Digital Access Coalition, has launched the 2025 Digital Access Commitments Campaign to promote equitable digital access across six counties in North Central Washington.
The campaign calls on organizations in Chelan, Douglas, Grant, Okanogan, Adams and Ferry counties to take measurable steps toward improving digital inclusion. According to regional data, one in four residents lacks broadband access, technology skills or a device needed to fully benefit from digital services, limiting opportunities in education, employment, healthcare and information access.
The initiative encourages commitments of all sizes—from offering staff training and expanding community partnerships to making digital resources more inclusive or hosting events during Digital Access Month in September. Organizations in need of support are directed to NCW Tech Help for resources and guidance.
“We want everyone in our community to be empowered to help bridge the digital divide,” said David Mabee, marketing director for NCW Tech Alliance. “No matter your role or the size of your organization, you can make a commitment that helps ensure every resident of North Central Washington has the resources, tools, and connectivity they need to live, work, and thrive here.”
Thriving Together NCW is providing microgrants of up to $4,000 to support qualifying organizations in implementing their commitments. Last year’s campaign involved 52 organizations and municipalities across the region. Twenty-two microgrants were awarded, distributing over $100,000 and impacting more than 50,000 residents.
All participating organizations in 2025 will be publicly recognized during the Tech Trailblazers event on Oct. 8 in Moses Lake. A virtual information session is scheduled for July 1, and the microgrant application window runs from July 1–31.
NCW Tech Help, which supports the campaign, is a regional, cross-sector collaborative network sponsored by Thriving Together NCW and Microsoft.
