WENATCHEE — Young soccer players from across North Central Washington will have a chance to train with coaches from one of the world's most recognizable soccer organizations when Wenatchee Valley College hosts Real Madrid Foundation soccer camps next week.
The camps will run Aug. 3-7 on the WVC campus and are open to players and goalkeepers ages 5 to 17, from beginners to advanced competitors. Daily sessions will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The training program is designed to help participants improve both technical and tactical aspects of their game while emphasizing values such as teamwork, respect and motivation. Camps are led by Real Madrid Foundation coaches, with one coach assigned for every 14 players.
WVC Athletic Director Greg Sparling said hosting the internationally recognized program is an opportunity not only for the college but for the region's growing soccer community.
"We are incredibly excited to welcome the Real Madrid Foundation Soccer Camp to Wenatchee Valley College," Sparling said. "This is a tremendous opportunity not only for WVC Athletics, but for the entire Wenatchee community and the growing soccer community throughout our region."
Sparling said the partnership will also benefit WVC's own athletic programs by giving coaches and student-athletes the opportunity to observe and learn from Real Madrid Foundation instructors.
"We are proud that Wenatchee Valley College has been selected to host this prestigious event," he said. "We look forward to showcasing our campus while inspiring the next generation of soccer players."
Registration for the camp is $599, with optional early drop-off and late pick-up services available for an additional fee. Space is limited, and registration is available online through the RMF Clinics website at rmfclinicsusa.com/register-476-soccer-summer-camp-wenatchee-2026.
