CASHMERE — On August 14, beginning at 9 a.m., you can join the Cashmere Library team for two outstanding events that last all the way until lunchtime. The Summer Library Program may be in its final days, but there is still at least one day where you can squeeze in two events at once.
In the morning, from 9–10:30 a.m., it’s Intro to Nature Journaling. Join Olivia Schilling for a guided nature walk! You'll start at the Cashmere Library for an introduction before heading out into the riverside wilderness. Bring your nature journals to stop, observe, record, and draw what you discover along the way. This event is perfect for kids, tweens, and families. Please register online at https://ncwlibraries.libcal.com/event/14901880 to reserve your spot.
Then, from 10:30–11:30 a.m., it’s StoryART & Music Time. Join the staff inside the Library for StoryArt days, where you explore the beautiful art found in storybooks. Each session begins with an art appreciation moment inspired by a short story, followed by a hands-on art project that reflects what you've learned.
This free program is recommended for ages 4 and up, with all supplies provided. StoryArt days are every Thursday at 10:30, alternating with musical Storytimes or crafts for younger children.
Come discover Cashmere outside, and see art in a whole new way! The Cashmere Library is located at 300 Woodring Street in Cashmere.
