WENATCHEE – The Wenatchee Wild have announced a trade with the Victoria Royals of the Western Hockey League (WHL), sending 2007-born forward Daniel Morozov to Victoria in exchange for 2007-born forward Grant Reid.

Morozov, who hails from Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, made his WHL debut last season, playing two games for the Wild – his first WHL contest came against the Royals on December 28. He spent most of his 2023-24 season in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL), suiting up for the Burnaby Winter Club’s Under-18 team.

Reid played two games this past season for the Royals, as well as two games for Victoria during the 2022-23 season. A native of Surrey, British Columbia, he recently finished his third season in the CSSHL with Yale Hockey Academy. He notched 13 goals and 17 assists over 28 CSSHL games on the school’s U18 roster, and added four points in three CSSHL postseason appearances. Reid was selected by the Royals in the third round of the WHL Prospects Draft in 2022.

The Wenatchee Wild wish Daniel Morozov all future success on and off the ice, and proudly welcome Grant Reid to the Wild family.
