CASHMERE — The Cashmere Bulldogs extended their South Central Athletic Conference (SCAC) winning streak to 13 games with a 7-0 victory over the Connell Eagles on Tuesday. The win improves Cashmere's season record to 13-1.
Sophomore Addie Talley opened the scoring in the 8th minute with an unassisted goal, her 15th of the season. Brynne Patrick, also a sophomore, added another unassisted goal in the 38th minute, giving the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead at halftime.
Cashmere's offense erupted in the second half, scoring three goals in a three-minute span. Patrick found the net again in the 43rd minute, followed by Talley's second goal a minute later. Freshman Makelah Gatens made it 5-0 in the 46th minute.
Sophomore Sydney McIvar rounded out the scoring with two goals. In the 51st minute, she headed in a service from Patrick, and in the 75th minute, she struck again to seal the 7-0 victory.
The Bulldogs dominated possession, outshooting Connell 49-1. Senior goalkeeper Kamryn Tomlinson recorded her 10th clean sheet of the season.
The Bulldogs next face second-place Naches Valley (10-2) on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at Vale Soccer Field.
